Most people will waste the first half of the day scrolling job boards aimlessly or procrastinating.

Do these 4 things instead:

1. Check for new postings from the weekend (15 min)

Jobs posted Friday-Sunday have fewer applicants right now. Check Runway, LinkedIn, and Indeed for anything new in your field.

Apply to your top 3 before everyone else.

2. Follow up on last week's applications (10 min)

Pull up your tracker. Any applications from 2 weeks ago with no response? Send a follow-up email today.

Any interviews from last week? Follow up if you haven't heard back.

3. Send 3 LinkedIn messages (15 min)

Find 3 people at companies you want to work for. Send them the networking message we talked about - brief, specific question, easy to answer.

Do this consistently every Monday.

4. Update one thing on your resume (10 min)

Did you finish a project last week? Get a new certification? Learn a new skill?

Add it to your resume now while it's fresh.

Total time: 50 minutes.
