I looked at 30 student LinkedIn profiles yesterday.

Big mistake.

Recruiters search LinkedIn for candidates. When they find your profile, the "About" section is the first thing they read to decide if you're worth reaching out to.

If it's empty, you're invisible.

Here's what to write (takes 5 minutes):

Paragraph 1: Who you are + what you do

I'm a marketing student at UCLA focused on digital strategy and content creation. I've grown social media accounts to 10K+ followers and managed campaigns with $15K+ budgets.

Paragraph 2: Your relevant experience or projects

Last summer, I interned at [Company] where I increased email open rates by 35% through A/B testing. I also run a travel blog that gets 2K monthly visitors.

Paragraph 3: What you're looking for

I'm looking for summer 2026 marketing internships where I can apply data-driven strategies to grow brands. Open to roles in social media, content marketing, or digital advertising.

Total length: 3 short paragraphs, under 150 words.
